okay, heres the story. My Canon zr 25mc was stolen out of my dads vehicle last thursday, I didn;t find out until Saturday that it was gone. Anyways, my best friend's cousin knows a kid who stole a small silver digital camera, and he lives on the same street where it was stolen. What should I do? We filed a police report, found out who did it, personally went to his house, he looked me in the eye and told me he didn;t know what I was talking about, so I told him to give it to me or the cops. The cops went to his house shortly after but he was gone. I don't have any evidence that he has it besides 2 other kids that say the guy that stole it was bragging about it to them. I live in a small town and I know there isnt another person who had the same camera stolen. I'm out of ideas, help.
Thanks |

| what did the cops say? are they going to go back later? if 2 witnesses aren't enough to convince the cops then go beat the sh*t out of the kid that stole it but make sure no more than 2 people watch you. |

| The kid wasnt there when the cop went there but he told the parents to give up the camera, and there would be no charges or anything. We havent heard anything since, the witnesses havent seen the camera though, just heard. |

How big is this kid? Are you under 18? I don't condone violence but in this situation I say you beat it out of him... _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

If you have another friend that he doesn't know you could have them approach him and offer him some cash for it. Have your buddy go up to him and say something like, "I've heard you got a camera and are taking some heat for it, why not sell it to me for 1000 and get rid of the evidence." Of course have you friend look at the camera first and then just take it back.

Sucks but at least it isn't coming out of your wallet... Unless there's a premium. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

Put this punk under some heat... I mean seriously if you are sure he did it, I would go after him. I mean get friends of his or people he trust to find it for you. 500 bucks is a lot of money, and I know the camera was worth more. _________________ If I agreed with you we would both be wrong. |

i agree for the $500 deductable you could probably pay a friend of his to set him up? then you get your camera and he gets a criminal record. also tell everyone you know that he is a thief and try saying that you have a security camera that recorded the whole thing. do this in front of his parents and give him one last chance to turn it over before you press charges.if that doesn't work then id take $500 out on his ass or his parents cars. their choice. what is his name and phone number? post it so we can all call him. _________________ Thats gonna leave a mark!! |
