Where am I supposed to have the handle at? When I am landing the rope is pulling me straight backwards and I just slam into the water backwards. I would say I'm closer to being able to land the 360 rather than the 180. What should I do?

when you feel the pop off the wake, wait and grad the board, then on your way down, turn and stick that handle to your back hip and let go with your leading hand, land with your weight somewhat on your toes and try to continue to edge out

Sounds like you're not over your board squarely when you're landing. By what you describe you probably can't go w2w switch ts i'm guessing... so try practicing riding switch and doing inside out wake jumps toeside. This will get you used to landing on your toes and over your board, rather than falling backwards or sliding out on your heels.

do a couple inside out 180s and youll get it. focus on landing on edge and completing a full 180. you might actually want to try to overrotate a little. the handle should be at your switch lead hip.

Make sure you're not looking down. That was causing me to skid out on my heels. Look to the far shore. I had to look up at the sky at the start of my edging to remind myself. The people in the boat thought I was nuts but it worked. And I agree that it helps to practise ts switch jumps until you can land in the flats.
