O.K. I need to step up my boarding and I want to learn an invert. The other day while riding at Broken Bow, I "purposefully" went off axis as in like I was going to do an off axis spin. So now I want to learn an invert. I figure the tantrum, back flip or something would be good. If anyone can help me with this I would be truly greatful. And I'm in High School so please try and dumb it down the best you can for me because my brain is totally trained to be a High school athlete with football and all.
Thanks MWB

I reccomend that you try either a tantrum or a backroll first. They are both good inverts to learn. I personally learned the tantrum first. It took me about 10 tries to stick one and now i can do them no problem. Do a search for tantrums or look it up in the trick tips section under the main page. In order to do the tantrum take a medium to hard cut at the wake. As you begin to reach the trough of the wake or the foam release your back hand and square your shoulders up to the wake and the shoreline. As you hit the wake stand tall and lean back. The wake will kick you up into the air and the rotation without you doing much other than releasing your back hand and leaning. Just go and give it a shot. Take it balls and youll land one real soon.

go for the raley, its the easiest invert out there if you ask me, cut in real hard and progressivly, stand way tall at the wake, throw your legs behind you (helps me to pull it in if my legs are straight, just a personal tip) look at the tower/pole or w/e you have smile for the people in the boat and pull the rope back down to your knees to bring it in, loads of fun and ALOT easier then it looks, may need to grow some balls to whip it out there at first but once you get it...its cake

both the tantrum and the backroll are the easiest, it depends on what u can do if u are good at backflips on tramps, land, w/e then try the tantrum, but if not backrolls are just as easy, IMO tantrums are easier behind a smaller wake, just sumthing to keep in mind

look at it as if you are playing tony hawks proskater, when you are coming at a 1/4 pipe, just like the wake, and you press O to early the board flies out from under the guy, thats prety much what you wanna try and do. just cut at it and try to fling the board as high and as far away from you as possible. its really sloppy but you will either rotate it or over rotate it first time almost quranteed, Wink

Well Thanks guys I'll take all these tips and figure it out. I tried a Raley once and got flat and 3/4 of the way back then I had to let go. But anyway I'll try it out and if I don't get it I'll try again until I get it or pass out.
Thanks again
MWB
