| Might i be progressing too hard when jumping the wake? ive seen a lot of movies and other riders who seem to go at the wake relativly slowly yet launch huge. i cut out pretty far and try to go back at the wake as fast as i can. When im in the air it all kinda hits me too fast and i fall. will i get a better pop if i go slower yet under control? also, how long should my rope be? |

| you need to start you approach very slowly and just concentrate on building the line tension more and more, and also edge all the way through the wake, if you start a mellow progressive edge, you should stay under control, this will help you get used to jumping the wake and you will be able to go much bigger later on |

Lin Stacey, that's a pretty typical thing. Speed is not the only thing that gives you height. You have to learn how to pop off the top of the wake and time the extension of your legs. Start slower and focus on getting as low to the water as you can as you approach the wake -- knees very bent. Then as you are riding up the wake extend your legs so they are fully extended when you reach the top. Practice this with smaller cuts and then as you are more comfortable take it bigger and bigger. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

935 feet (or whatever feels good to you). _________________ PS- this is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

| i ride at 55 feet behind our boat, but other boats i'll ride 75 or 80, just depends on where the sweet spot on your wake is |
