|

So, my girlfriend went with me to pick up my board about 2 months ago, and ever since has had her eye on the Blindside Flower Pro (136)... mostly the look, but they have a description of it as being good for agressive ladies. http://www.waterskiworld.com/wakeboards/Blindside_Wake/blindside_wake.html
She's 25, 5'9", 125lbs... she's very competitive... about her 2nd time up she just wanted to jump the wake and learn to do tricks... but right now, she's riding my CWB Tatoo 143cm, which is just too big and heavy for her...
She's been planning on buying the board, but I'd like to surprise her with it next time we go out this week... but only if it's the right choice. Anyone have any experience with that board that they could compare to others? Or if not, has anyone shopped around for boards that might be for similar skill and have experience to share? I want to get her something that lets her continue to improve...
We go about 3 times/week, so she gets plenty of time to practice - I want her to be able to take the skill as far as possible before the season is up.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thx! |

| I just got an O'Brien Vixen 132. I love it! It has great pop off the wake, yet is easy for me to ride. I am just really getting into the sport, and doing basic jumps. I am really pleased with this board. |

| tmbrown, My girlfriend has the flower and likes it (but I don't think she knows what she likes...she isn't advanced enough). Anyway as an FYI, Blindside is going the way of Hydroslide and Nash, so be expecting to see those boards in west marine and boats US soon. |

| Thx for the tip... I actually did buy it for her already - surprised her with it last night as we were launching the boat... but we still want to look around. It was night/day difference from my board - so now we're just trying to compare to the vixen for performance... I'm trying to find someone in the sacramento area (we live in roseville) who'll let us demo. The place I buy from is waterskiworld in Fair Oaks - they're great.... but they can't demo... only return/exchange if it doesn't work out... |
