Hey , I'm gonna be a post whore tonight. I was just wondering how a cable park operates. Is there a line to go next , and is there a dude in a tower runnin the cables? What happens when you fall? Do you pay by the run or by the day or what? Sorry so many questions , I'm just curious. peace. _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

yes. yes. you swim back to the dock and get ready to go again. i dont know about the rest, im curious as well. Can you take as many laps as you want without letting go? choose your speed? |

fixed speed. there is a line that you wait in for the cable to come by and pick up your rope to pull you around. charged by the hour. laps depend on the place you are at and how crowded. swim to the shore and walk back around to the line when you fall. _________________ Keep Austin Weird |

yea me too , it'd be a nice break from being behind a boat every time. Not that that's bad of course!! Just a change in pace. _________________ "I just want something more than to come home in my cool looking SUV, sit in my king sized leather recliner and watch reality television on my widescreen plasma TV...How easy it is to care for someone when you dont have anything else..." |

how long do you have to swim out of the way before the next guy? if you take a wicked fall and cant move out of the way fast enough wouldnt you be screwed? _________________ keep it real |

There's plenty of time for the next guy to avoid you. If he can't steer round you, he should let go before running you over, its part of the safety briefing.

The other day I found a video tape from a comp at Princes in London last summer (might have been the UK Nationals). This is Jack Wayne nailing a cablescrew (air double S bend) and then a vulcan:
