Ok so the deal with my mom was that she bought me "The Book" but what i have to do is register for the SAT's and research colleges and stuff like that. I heard there are some colleges that have wakeboard teams and stuff like that and i was told that Western (Washington) has a team. If i got good enought that would be awesome to ride for a college, but im not exactly sure how to look up all this college stuff. Im not really sure what im doing. I either want to go for wakeboarding or softball and i want to study business. So if anyone has any information on which colleges have wakeboarding teams or how to find a school that does, please let me know. It would help me out soo much!
You can reply or just e-mail me at Sportyj10@aol.com
Thanx!!

Somebody correct me if I'm wrong, but waterskiing/wakeboarding isn't a varsity sport. What you would end up doing is riding with a college's club team. Club teams are usually fairly close to being as competitive as varsity sports. But with sports that don't have the varsity level, club level is at the top.
So what you should do is check out the websites for colleges you are interested in. Most of them usually have a way to search everything on their site. Chances are good that you'll come across something dealing with their club team. If you can't find anything, see if you can't find their student activities director's (or something like that) e-mail address and shoot them a quick message about it.
Also, if you find a college you like but they don't have a club, you could always start one.
Good luck. |

Western Washington University does indeed have a wakeboarding team, the best in the nation as a matter of fact. i live like 10 minutes away from WWU and people chat about their team here and there. they were just at the big college wakeboard competition and they killed everyone else, so theyre pretty much the best team out there for college.
there was an article in wakeboarding magazine or something like the issue beforfe last _________________ signatures are lame |

wait till you guys see the article in the next issue of WBM on college wakeboarding. but yes, many schools have wakeboarding and many een have waterskiing as a varisty sport (my school does)... but our wakeboard club is not affiliated with them whatsoever. Good luck picking a school... collegewakeboard.com check it out _________________ SlidingGlass.com

Yep WWU is run by Bret V. - If you look through the schools club list, you'll find his email, hes a pretty cool guy.
And are you in washington? if so, in state tuition.... WWU is starting to be pretty hard to get in, so keep those grades up!... oh yeah, and good luck on the SAT. _________________ http://www.flickr.com/photos/damoncall/
