|
|
| Hey guys, I've got a LF Team143, and recently I took of the center fins to give it a looser feel. Well now I am having trouble with edging up the wake. When I get to the bottom of the wake, alot of the times the board slides right out from under me. I'm afraid this meant i was using the center fins as training wheels instead of edging right. Basically what happens is I start my progressive edge, and when I'm right near the base of the wake, my rear foot starts to come forward and I begin to slip right out. Any tips? |

Get on your edge. I've only ridden that board without the center fin, and I couldn't get it to break loose if my life depended on it. _________________ PS- this is what part of the alphabet would look like if Q and R were eliminated.

Im using my large centre fin that came with my board, i was thinking of picking up a shorter fin this week.... im hoping that I also wasnt using my large fin as a somewhat training wheel. _________________ 137 Byerly - LF Spynx Snake Skin - Mastercraft X7 |

The tell tale signs of not knowing how to edge properly. You're relying too much on your fins. Lean back over your board to get it on edge. And when you're coming up the wake keep it on edge and just shift your weight a little forward before you pop. It takes practice but keep at it until you have it down. Taking your center fins off will force you to edge correctly into the wake and will ultimately make you a better rider. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

I guess the best way to describe this is try to get your butt as close to the water as you can. Bend your knees and lean back on the rope. This rotates the board from flat on the water to almost verticle which causes the tail edge of the board to generate speed rather than just the fins. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |

| Good picture, I'll try that tonight. Makes me wonder what I looked like doing whatever I was doing before? |

Wakebrad, IMO that's a bad edge, since he has no vest on (unless its skin colored ?)
someone drowned on lake monroe while we were on it the other day, and they still haven't found his body. yuck
he was tubing without a jacket, not sure if he hit his head or what but he's dead now _________________ Don't listen to advice from people who can't land that trick. My list:
HS+TS w2w jumps, HS+TS w2w 180, backroll
working on: I don't know, so happy I just landed backroll! |

ScottyB_RochNY, congrats!
Landon126, yeah, I think that's at a cable park though. I just looked for a while for a picture of a good edge. Obviously riding without a vest is stupid. _________________ You have just entered the twilight zone. |
