Guys and gals... I need some serious help here, I rode tonight and have encountered a bit of a problem. Everytime I jump, my board goes way behind me like kind of "raley-ish", but I am defintiely not meaning too. It is beginning to frustrate me, am I leaning to far back/ have my knees bent too much on my cut into the wake? I am clueless here all I know is that as soon as I get into the air my board goes behind me and the bottom side of the board faces to the sky, something seems screwed up in the way I am approaching the wake but I dont know what, any and all help more than appreciated.

Did someone replace your spectra rope with a bungee cord?

Edging away from the boat too much. Maybe too sharp of an angle in to the wake.

Yea I do tend to edge out way far sometimes, maybe thats it. Do you all think it could have anything to do with not keeping the handle near my hips while I'm in tha air?

Once in a while I used to do the same thing youre talking about.

What it may be is that you anre't edging and standing tall right. What I mean is that you are edging in a butt down squat position and trying to stand tall in such an abrupt motion that it comes out as if you were jumping, thus bringing your legs back behind you. Keep a focus on edging through the wake by leaning back and keeping that handly right at your front hip.

i just did this same thing yesterday off a double up. i got above the tower which im not at all used to, so i was a little out of control - arms flapping some, board in an accidental method position. im not really sure how it happens either. all i can say if youre just tryin to go w2w, just focus on hitting all the basics because you might be messing some of them up - use progressive edge, stand tall up the wake, and edge all the way through the wake. if youre on-axis but your board is flinging out behind you maybe you should just try and focus on grabbing it indy early off the wake. i find that im way more in control when i do a grab because it makes the point of knowing where your board is at and keeping it in control.
