I've been riding now for a bit and I am now in the process of learning to ride switch. I can pretty much maneuver my board fine. However when I hit the wake I either just ride over it or if I try to jump it I always fall. Any tips that I might be able to put into practice??? Any input is greatly appreciated.

Think back to when you learned regular, repeat Razz

Honestly you learned it one way now do the same the other way, slowly start jumping in the flats, 1 wake, then push 2 wakes. It's mad awkward because you are now comforable doing it one way but hey you gotta learn.

Try starting off switch wake jumps by doing a switch HS FS 180. You will learn to get good pop off the wake while starting off by landing safely in regular, then try going all the way with a switch wake to wake jump.

I agree with david-d. Sometimes it's easier to take off switch and land regular. Part of it may be that you can compensate on the landing after a bad jump. I think you just gotta remember to put in the practice time riding switch. I was having trouble with regular hs 180s w2w until I realized that I couldn't jump ts switch. I'm getting there but I still need to land on my toes outside the wake.

I have more experience snowboarding switch. The mind knows what to do; it's just a matter of "retraining" it to function a different way.

I learned a switch HS FS 180 w2w before regular. The landing was so much easier.

you need to really overexaggirate the stand up position when hitting the wake and keep the handle locked to your front hip. I tend to use more Peripheral vision when hitting the wake switch as opposed to stare the wake down like is typically done
