mexi roll VS. traditional back roll

i really need some input on this, i am very close to landin a mexican back roll, i was just wondering what exactly are the differences in the two different types of rolls, and what exactly is different in how you initiate the roll on the mexi and the regular?? is one easier than the other?

Rule of thumb:
If it seems easier to grab indy, chances are you're mexi.
If it seems easier to grab melan, chances are you're progressive.

Which is to say if you're thinking of going for these grabs it ought to help initiate either roll.......maybe
