| big news guys, you done need a wakeboard boat to learn how to wakeboard........as a matter of fact....you dont need a wakeboard boat unitl what??........720's? you can still do your basic tantrum and backroll behind almost anything......i dont see why you would spend all that money when you dont have to..... |

| You spend your time wakeboarding, so your good at it and you can do the tricks you wan't to do. Other people spend thier time working so they can buy expensive boats. If you want a nice boat, maybe you should do something about it other than just hate those who have them. Thier boat, they can fish from it if that makes them happy. YOUR boat, then you can use it to do what makes YOU happy. Besides, alot of those people with nice boats are willing to tow people who don't have thier own. |

I think you have a serious case of jealousy. I'm not gonna lie I used to be jealous of people with fat ass wakeboard boats while I was riding behind a Bayliner. But I didn't act like they shouldn't have one, I just wanted one. My dad ended up wanting one too eventually (mainly due to size of the boat) so he went out and bought a Moomba Mobius XLV, pro size wake - family sized boat. All our needs were met. _________________ |

| i'm not jealous, im just sayin that i think it would be stupid to buy a boat like that when your just learning, you could get a nice new I/O, with more room, for less money that you can still learn to ride behind, and is a really nice all arond boat |

If I want to go buy a new 70$K X Star and pull some tubers around it's my )&(*^&$#$&* business.
The funny part is I'm riding last night and the lake is fairly crowded for the evening -- rough as $hit -- jet skiers, pontoons everywhere -- I ride for 10 minutes and stop -- as they are picking me up my son says "Dad -- I saw you talking to yourself (as I was waiting to get picked up)-- looked liked you said S-O-B!!" SO, while I hate riding in heavy chop -- try and keep it to yourself. |

Ultimately it comes down to the fact that things are reversed with life:
Your broke when you are young and want to get mad skills at wakeboarding and live it up.
By the time you can afford to have a nice boat, lake house etc. your too old to really push hard and "go pro"
I worked at a nursing home all through high school and thats one thing I heard over and over from the old people . They worked there ass off when young and made lots of cash but when they really wanted to use it they were to old or there wife or husband died ect. I guess you just have to have a good balence between both!! |

Ridiculous statement -- if I have $60 K to spend I should get an I/o if I have have never boarded??? vs. a San or X star??? Sorry -- I disagree.
Life is too short -- if you have the $ get whatever you want |

if someone has a sweet boat and they are just learning you could always be the nice guy to go over and offer to teach them how to ride better...probably get you some new friends who want to take you out on the wakeboat you've been oggling _________________ ...and when you're done say what a lovely tea party. |

| I had an i/o for a while and even though i dont do "720's" there is a huge improvement in my riding and my little brothers after purchasing the 'Bu. It makes a huge difference in just the amount of air you can get. 2nd... Lots of people prefer inboard boats to i/os just because of driving / handling and whatever. Im sure most people that make these huge purchases dont consider them a waste of money. When i had the i/o i put about 30-40 hours on it last summer. I already have 100 hours on the malibu in the 4 months we've owned the boat and thats only halfway through the season.. That should tell you something right there. |

I am 34 and bought a used 99xstar. I wish I had the time to go out more than once every 2 weeks.
I have been boarding since 93, started with a Duval "victory assured" directional board and today, I still cant land simple inverts or do grabs. Infact If I get a good healside w/w I am chuffed.
I should be jealous because younger kids on this forum are complaining because they didnt land a tripple whirley tantrum glide on their first attempt.
Im mad because I am old and out of shape and only now can afford to buy something decent. You dont see me posting on trick tips. _________________ Wakeboarding is so Kool in Ireland! |

It makes me mad yeah i would say but hey, they work for it and have every right to be there too. Unless you win the lottery money isnt just given to you in the assloads. Just find a spot where they arent or go out really early. As for people sucking, everybody has to start somewhere. I have a 99 bayliner and it works really well for wakeboarding. Me and my friends can wakeboard better than most of the people around here without the boat. A wake specific boat would be nice, but its all about having fun with what you have, not how good you are. _________________ take the time to contemplate who you are and where you want to go. Ok i kind of have the same story as the first guy. My friends have a X-2 and they barley even board behind it. they hardley even use it. They run premeume gas through it which you don't have to but they waste there money anyway. Any way when the do board behind it they don't even fill the ballast up. They complain that it wastes gas but don't waste ur money on a board boat or preimume gas. _________________ GO BIG OR DON'T GO AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

no i got a 2004 Supra Launch LTS and it puts out a good enough wake for me and my point is why even buy the boat if you barley even use it and another thing to add it has been in the shop 3 times this summer and it is only 1 year old. _________________ GO BIG OR DON'T GO AT ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
