Can anyone tell me haw to switch from normal to switch. I know you have to hop of the water and then spin the board. I just can't get high enough.

You can do surface 180's which are easier. Start by learning them and then progress.

You don't have to get high at all to do an olllie 180. Like Dfa said, you can do surface 180s which require no height at all. Break the fins loose and keep your weight back and low so you don't catch your front edge.

Surface 180s are easiest, IMO when the boat is turning, go to the inside of the turn. You'll be going very slow then and if you catch your front edge it does not hurt at all.

HS+TS w2w jumps, HS+TS w2w 180, backroll
working on: I don't know, so happy I just landed backroll!

I did surface 180s until a few months ago. I would do a big 180 and then not concentrate on my surface 180s and catch my front edge. Ouch. Now I just do w2w 180s unless its switch toeside then only 1 wake or surface 180. Ollie 180s only work for me sometimes and I cant do them switch.

I think the easiest way is to come out of a butterslide 180 that way your fins are already out of the water, oh and if you are trying to pop it you need almost no air at all, ust drop your front hand and pop a little, rotate and land with your nose first so even if you dont finish the rotation the water and fins will spin you the rest of the way

the easiest way to surface 180 is when the boat just pulls you up and is still going real slow, you can do whatever you want till the boat speeds up and the fins catch, just as soon as you get up, put weight on your heels and spin the board to switch

or, if you are comfortable with it, when you are inside the wake, take a cut to go outisde the wake, and when you over come the wake, like where you would jump, just spin off of that so its like a drop and you dont really have to jump. but it will help to jump for sure.
