Whats up guys and gals...I went to a friends cottage just this past week and explored the wonderful world of wakeboarding. I have been snowboarding for well..about 7 almost 8 years and i fell in love with wakeboarding instantly. I have a couple newb questions to ask...Im looking for a good board for me...I definently do not need a beginner board. I have fairly good balance and i love getting loads of air and hang time as well as huge spins. What board/binding combo would you recommend for me?
peace,
josh- |

If I were you I would try a board between the sizes of 137 and 140(cm). I like Hyperlite boards over the other brands (although most board companys make a board that would work great for you) If you have a boardshop in your hood you should check that out...if not there are a few good online stores... my favorite are buywake.com and boardstop.com
Ohh and you should get extra large bindings (Hyperlite Murray would work well) _________________ dude your gettin a hyperlite |

just because you can do that stuff in snowboarding doesnt mean youll be instantly amazing at wakeboarding, the parks is probly not a good board for a beginner,
the bindings are fine, you just want something comfortable with some support _________________ 06' watson 138

| alright...well i want a board that has good pop so i can get some nice air off of the wake...i was doing fairly good on the board i was riding and i beleive it was a 141 but not sure what kind...it defienently was wider than the ones ive been looking at. Why exactly would the parks not be good for me? Is it because it is too loose or is extremely responsive? How about the premier? |

the parks wouldnt be very good for you because it rides fast, and is harder to control when youre a beginner, the premier would be better, but its still somehwat of an advanced board. I guess it would be good for you, it pops nicely, and isnt to aggressive _________________ 06' watson 138

alright thanks for the info...i think im gonna go with the premier then...hopefully i can find just a used one and go from there...i really dont want to spend a bunch of money since its my first board and all..i didnt spend a whole lot when i bought my first snowboard...but i did realize that i had to buy a more "advanced" board for me to improve my riding...and it did. _________________ Go big or go home! |

Ok...so i think i found the one for sure im going to go with...im on a budget and i think im getting the 04 CWB tattoo with Torq Bindings....its under 300 so i figure what the hell..been reading the reviews at wakeworld.com and they look really good for the board...but the bindings i guess tend to rip? Oh well im basiclly getting the bindings for free anyways ... What are your guy's opinion on the CWB boards ? _________________ Go big or go home! |

| i have an 04 cwb 134 absolute and i love it. i get great pop it tracks well and the landings are really smooth not to metion i think that the graphics are prolly some of the sickest ever and if u've got the xtra $50 i'd def. drop it on the platinum version b/c i hear its even better. its a little more advanced then the tattoo but you shouldnt have a problem. evogear.com was selling em blank for only $250 but i think they're out of 141s. look around tho, u'll find a good deal. so u might wanna consider this board too. |
