Kento911, no no a step in the wrong direction!! Hahaha Laughing

Notorious, Wakeskating is exactly the same as getting up on a wakeboard basically. The only main differences when you are up is the shape of the skate will feel a lot different and it's weird being able to move your feet around hah.

If you can do surface tricks and stuff wakeboarding, you will be able to do them really easy wakeskating. It's practically the same for those kind of tricks, like butter slides etc.

Shuvs and things seemed to come to me just like they did on a skateboard, the board control on a wakeskate and a skateboard are really similar.. except the size of the wakeskate makes it a bit harder to rotate the board. The landing can be a bit tricky, but coming from a wakeboarding background the balance for landing should be a bit easier.

Like Kento said, wakeskating.com is your friend for all your wakeskating questions and other things.. they have nice trick tips over there too. Might wanna try looking on those forums for tips on which skate to buy, and other basics.

Good luck!

I just bought a new one that should be coming in the mail soon. Is it like snowskating or skimboarding at all?

lake weir rider fl, has the right idea. Practice practice practice.

Colclough999, a lot of my skimboarding ability came into wakeskating. I don't know about snowskating, on a count of me never seeing snow Sad
Just curious, what board did you get?
