Plan B is American as far as I know, even though Colin McKay is Canadian.
I'm not sold on Plan B. Just like the old movies that Hollywood has been trying to revive, I think this one's gonna flop. In the early 90's when Ternasky started the original Plan B the guys on the team were groundbreaking. It was every revolutionary skater there was plus some more. The most unbelievable sequences were of a then unknown street skater named Pat Duffy. His closing trick in Questionable was a 50-50 down a 15 stair handrail while it was raining. Add Mike Carroll, Rick Howard, Sean Sheffey, Colin McKay, Danny Way, & Rodney Mullen & you got yourself a team!
The new team is great skaters, but the only guy who's really breaking new ground in my opinion is PJ Ladd. McKay hasn't done anything new for a while & Danny just keeps doing the same mega ramp stuff over & over now. P-Rod's good, but not a standout & I don't even know who Darrell Stanton is.
Don't know about the quality of the boards, you're on your own. |
