|
|
Whenever I throw a tantrum, I find myself landing with slack in the rope and a split second later the handle gets ripped out of my hand. I don't have access to a tower or wakeboat although I get plenty of pop to get around. I can land on my feet most times although I can't seem to keep tension in the rope. Please help if you can..
Thanks- Rob |

If you can land it the wake is fine.. tantrums are possible in the flats. Keep the handle in close to your hip the whole time your cutting into the wake, opening up and ideally throughout the whole trick. That way you are in control and can let the handle out to stall the rotation but you will always have tension in the rope. If your arm is out then you will be doing the tantrum with no tension and as you said as soon as it catches up with you your gonna loose that handle.. also makes the tannys look pretty wack too, a lot cleaner and bigger if you've got that line tension to pull you up and to pull on.. _________________ Riding

| Cameron, got the oppurtunity to ride behind a 2005 Malibu Vride (so sexy by the way) and landed the first tantrum I tried. Keeping the handle close made a difference and it felt great.. thanks again |

You're right about the V-ride!
Come off edge creates the slack line. Stay on edge a little longer and you'll get tension. Stay on edge too long (a la front flip) and you'll get more than enough line tension! _________________ Hasta la victoria siempre |
