|
|
| I have a 01 Wakesetter VLX and I already have two sacks in the back and the stock mls, however, I was wanting to add some more weight. Any suggestions? The back two bags add up to 350 pds each so that comes to a total of about 1200 pds. What about weighting the front under the seats?

My friend has a 01' vlx and this is how he loads it down. 2-550's in the back, a 350 in the walkway in the bow, mls, and usually three people in the boat. Here is a picture of the wake with me riding.

| I put 2 600's in the back, MLS, 500 on top of the MLS, and a 500 in the bow. Sometimes we put a 600 against the back seat, but that is kind of a hassle.

I have an 02 VLX and have tanks in back plus Phat Buddies for 1000#, then I put a 375# tube sac in walkway on top of 500# MLS, drop the wedge and strap on the parachute! I plan to pull the tanks and put a 540# launch sack on each side so that I only have to fill one bag by pump!

For a typical day with 4 people (3 passengers and 1 boarder) in a 2002 VLX.
Rear Starboard storage: Full MLS plus 130 in lead
Rear Portside storage: Full MLS plu 90 in lead (3rd passenger usually sits up against the gunwhale with their legs across the back seat)
Wedge down
Ski locker: Full (700#'s) with an additional 500#'s of lead distributed in the bow.
Wake is as big as I've seen with a nice kicker. Boat still planes quickly (I don't gun it out of the hole) and great double ups. However, if turning too sharp (sharper than you should for a double up) it will cavitate at times.
Fuel economy runs at about 6.5 GPH.
Just realized you probably don't have the wedge so, the best configuration I've seen to date has been
Ski locker full (400#s), 500# sack across the bow seats, 350 in each rear locker, and about 800#'s in passengers in the cockpit. Wake was very hard and rampy with good pop but no kicker. However the owner complains of poor fuel economy.
