|
|
| First of all, I speak french, from Quebec, so my english sux but I'll try to explain what's the problem. I've been trying to do some 360s since the end of last summer...40..50 times. I REALLY cant keep the rope in my hands while I spin. I started with backside 360, kinda hard, and the problem was that I wasn't able to keep the rope in my hands, sometimes I fall head first in the water or I spin perfectly, but the rope is 5-6feet in front of me. When I tried to make a 360 Frontside, I was falling on the back but I've been able to spin perfectly..but still the problem with the rope. 2 times I've been able to give the rope at my other hand but...it hurt when I fell lol...I think I'm always "off-axis"...maybe I start to spin at the wrong time (beggining) or I don't know. Could u give me some clues of how to do it! Thanks |

AirProfile, that was a really useful post.
A7XHC, if you're going off axis it could be because you're spinning too early, like off the wake. Wait till the peak of your jump to pull the handle. As for having the rope too far out infront of you, it doesn't sound like you're pulling the rope hard enough. wait for the pop, make a hard pull, and pass the handle near your butt, but don't let go with the back hand until you get both hands firmly on it. then just ride it out. good luck. _________________

Are you keeping the rope by your waist and passing at the small of your back? Keeping the rope higher will pull you off axis and also make the handle pass impossible. _________________ Long Island, NY & Canada Lake, NY (addirondacks)

o i know it was
but ok i had a problem landing 360's for a long time i would always let go of the handle during the pass.
how i overcame that was getting more time to do it so everyting could be slower,
i would get more air and spin slower i tend to always have more than enough time on the landing
i'll post a video soon go get it on the sony hopefully 2night

| ahh while I'm here, I got another question...WHERE do I look when I spin?!?!?! I always had the impression to be unable to see where I am when I fall. I mean I fall and didnt know where I was. And if somebody can see my videos of theses shitty 360 that I've done, u could see what are the problems. ciao |

try to spin when you get to the peak of your jump like where you have the most air. And your english is great. Better than a lot of 20 yr olds here. _________________ The sky is not the limit. Wanna see me naked? |

| For a HS FS 360 you Pop, pull, pass. Make sure you dont throw it before your in the air. Yank the handle harder than you think to your back hip. That starts the spin. Pass the handle, spot your landing and ride away. If you have trouble getting the handle, I have a nifty tip that I use. Start with your arms out (almost locked/locked) on your cut so you can pull it in harder causing more slack on the line. Good luck! |

I dont know how you guys can ride the bay... its nothing but 2+ foot chop. Even the north shore sucks. Gotta take it to the lakes upstate where its silky smooth. Although if you can ride the bay when you finally take it to a lake youll probably ride pretty sick. _________________ Long Island, NY & Canada Lake, NY (addirondacks)

Yeah the chop across the bay sucks, but there a spots. It all depends on wich way the wind is coming from.. and how earlier you go out
I live in East Islip, so im close to the connequot river, thats usually nice and flat.
I can imagine how nice a lake would be.. i use to kneeboard in lake goerge like 4 years ago lol _________________ Great South Bay |

| you could buy on of the handles with two handles. so you wrap yuourself up in the rope, and then just unwind. |

DunDunDun, you mean a wrap handle? Your gonna have to learn handle passes someday. Why not learn them first? |

AirProfile, stop with the stupid posts. First off...
- you need a fire wirecard and software to import to (ok, windows movie maker is a given) in order to be able to use a firewire cable, and second
-you don't spin legs first... you spin it all together. _________________

one of te reasons u might be losing the handle is, i noticed you cut hard on your 3's
try cutting out farther and have a slower cut into the wake _________________ 06' watson 138
