Has this happened to anyone? This happened on a HS backroll. I was upside down and felt my foot leave the board. When I landed, I was wearing a boot on one foot, and the board/boot on the other foot! I thought that the screws just came loose, but was surprised to find that the screws RIPPED the screw holes out of the board. I was using a pair of NICE RG-1 bindings and thumb screws that they came with. Was never a problem before... I hope Hyperlite will warranty the board, but I am already thankful that I was not injured.

And probably happened from overtightening the thumb screws...

yeah - you probably overtightened the screws, which puts a lot of force on the inserts and can cause them to rip out o fthe board. I have had it happen to me before. Hyperlite will probably warranty the board for you, but make sure not to overtighten the screws in the future so that you do not have that problem again.

do not tell Hyperlite that you were using Nice bindings. I believe their warranty states you must use hyperltie bindings for the warranty to be honored. I could be just remembering wrong so don't take it as absolute fact.

Cisco, the same thing happened to my premier a few weeks ago - although through catching front edge on raley attempts at cable park. The damage to your board around the binding hole looks identical to damage on mine!
Board isn't under warenty, so I have tried to fix it by stripping top layer off and some of the core inside and filling with marine epoxy (hard stuff I'm told). Gonna be trying it this weekend to see if it'll hold. If not - a new board for me!

I just did the same thing on a 10 month old board.
Did hyperlite wind up fixing this or replacing the board?
