Wow...... this has been one of the most entertaining threads I've seen in a while. Stupid focker put his fat wife in the bikini contest and got pissy when the crowd called her a pig. Just too damn funny.

Has anyone ever seen a real old wakeboard, like the ones that are shaped liek surfboards still. I have one made by hyperlite and if u look at the bottom, there are these little mellow bowl shaped indents all over the place. Each one is liek 3 inches in diameter and like .5 inches deep and there are liek 15 of em on the bottom of the board, what are those things all about

Probably thought it broke up the water to avoid surface tension or suction. Rediculious either way.

i work at a wakeboarding/waterskiing camp in the northeast, and we had a hydroslide for the beginner riders, same style bindings and everything, and one kid, not even jumping, caught an edge, rolled, foot came out and snapped his femar (sp?)...so caddy, please listen to everyones advice and at least get a new set of bindings, for your own saftey, if you really enjoy the sport then spring for new bindings so you dont spend the rest of the summer on your ass

p.s. we went out and bought new beginner board/bindings the next day, do the same

I actually recently baught a hydroslide, I wasnt looking for an awsome board or anything, just somthing to get me started. I spent 200 on it, the bindings are secure but do come off easily enough.

It should last me a summer or 2 Very Happy

as i get better i will think about advancing to a better set up, wich i probably will want to do Cool

gijoe2104,

Gosh, you saved the day. If everybody just "chilled" then what kind of entertainment would wb.com be? NONE! This kid is a true Jackass and we are simply taking advantage of this situation. Trust me if you, or I, or anyone else said the things he has stated then it would be no different. Its just fun stuff man, thats it, no real hard feelings here (as far as I am concerned) I'm no expert but I have been put in my place a few times here and you will too.

no no no....see you are beginning to sound just like caddydaddy. We are not "bangin" the dudes board because its a cheap board or not a up to date top line model. WE are "bangin" the bindings. Yeah the board is not a good board compared to the other models that are out there. I understand that not everyone can afford these boards but I have a Parks and I bought it myself and I am 20 so it is possible. The bindings however are not safe...for anyone. Its not that they are ugly/cheap/stupid looking or anything like that, they are not safe, we are not trying to make the guy look stupid or bad we are trying to keep him from hurting himself by beingn stupid.

zack, yeah the bindings arent anything to write home about but if he doesnt heed the warning then its his problem, and about buying your own board, i totally understand when i was 16 i mowed a hellavuhlot of lawns to get my set up, i still ride it today is the sad part... Neutral oh well i wasnt tryin to jump in the middle of things, mostly just adding my 2 cents of the peace process...btw this is a funny forum to read from the beginning and it makes time go by

gijoe,

If Cadddaddy would read your post he wouldn't catch so much crap from everyone else. I give you props on your response. Its not so hard to be civil when discussing these things. Anyway, I appreciate your input and your decency.

Zack_Attack... gijoe2104 - Sry to attack the whole peace treaty thing you got goin', but this is to effin' funny to not put in my 2 cents. Gijoe - I'll try to be as civilized as possible, but im not as well contained as you. Laughing Props to ya on your post tho. Cool

Now...for the real reason im posting....

CaddyDaddy -
You are the dumbest ass kid I've ever met...there is NO WAY IN HELL you can say your 20 and have spelling and grammar like that!!! But assuming you are 20, where did you go to school, the ghetto's? Who was your teacher there...Joe Dirt?

Another thing...earlier you stated "Not everyone in the world has parents who will buy them everything." Guess what smart ass...If your 20 and you still expect your parents to buy you sh*t, your in for a world of hurt. On top of which, if Im 16 and I can somehow find enough pennies and dimes to buy a halfway decent setup, then I would assume a god d@mn 20 year old who works at Nextel should be able to also.

And no...dont even dare come up with a reply like, "Well your parents prob. bought it for you!" They didn't pay a dime, but I still managed to get safe, fun, reputable equip. You tell me my fellow wakeboarders...is a CWB Absolute Plat. w/ LF Alphas better than a Hydroslide w/ a pair of socks???

Further more, I cant even fathom how you can find yourself justified coming on here(yeah dipsh*t...its spelled here, not hear.) asking advise and then blowing your load when that advise isn't up to your standards.

Ha, I just noticed...Im writing a novel! Laughing Someone has to do it! But wait...theres more!!!!

Caddy, how dare you call a fellow female wakeboarder a bitch! Just shut the F*ck up...didn't your mother ever tell you to treat women with respect?

Wakechick182 - The former statement was concerning you, and your reply made my day!!! "CaddyDaddy - Listen ass bag....." That has now been put into effect as my sig. Laughing I loved it, way to be upfront and bold about it. YOUR AWESOME!!!!

Back to Caddy - At the end of this novel i'd just like to say I really do hope you break both of your ankles with your peice of sh*t socks and godbless america if you never post again!

My honest opinion is that I wouldn't ride this setup. But if you are learning it will get you out of the water and wakeboarding for sure. But the fact remains that from companies like hyperlite( I ride a hyperlite setup, love it), Obrian, Liquid Force, Cwb etc you are going to get boards and bindings from companys that focus on wakeboardin and are always improving. You will have better shape, better fins for more traction tigher, more supportive boots. Although its going to cost more :s

Just but looking at the difference you can see the hydroslide lacks in shape campared to the hyperlite. And id have to say the bindings are the biggest thing. These are a bit passed sandle bindings but not upto par with a well know company boot.

Luckly the hydroslide does feature a dual fin witch is nice. But you can get tripple fins now Smile

Overall this board will suit you for learning surface tricks maby sing wake jumps passed that I wouldn't trust the support from those bindings, deffinatley not inverts or spins :s

Well thats my 2 cents. Have fun wakeboarding.

Okay, Ill add my $.02

My first board was an old mid to late 90s hyperlite with sandal bindings. It was way overpriced, and it sucked. Later one of my friends had a hydroslide that I tried, and I loved it in comparison to the old hyperlite w/ sandal bindings. The slightly more fitted bindings let me have more control over the board and my feet wouldnt twist in the bindings. After that I bought some doubleup bindings for my hyperlite, and I now favored riding the old hyperlite more than the hydroslide, since the board was lighter and better engineered. Now that I finally purchased a half way decent board and bindings, I can not tell you what a huge difference it made. Takeoffs have so much pop. Landings are effortless. The old board used to be sketchy all over the place, while my new obrien tracks so well. The old board was very difficult to slide or surface spin, and once you did it would get all squirley and slide out. The new board is predictable in any direction and is easy to slide spin. Its a world of difference, but I wouldnt be able to appreciate the difference if I was just starting out now.

Basically, what Im saying is that I understand what youre saying about the hydroslide giving you the impression of riding better, but Ill bet its just because you were riding with those awful sandal bindings. If it were me, id ride the rest of the season with your hydroslide, then buy a used good board and bindings off ebay for cheap, then sell your hydroslide to someone else who's just starting out.

That being said, FLAME ON! What the eff are you doing asking people about their opinions on a board you ALREADY purchased, and the getting pist wen they tell you your board is crap (thats an opinion). There is a great wealth of knowledge on this site that youre out and out challenging, after having ridden, what, two boards? One had sandal bindings and the other's a hydroslide. And youre shitting all over people who have been riding for years with good setups while youve never ridden a halfway proper setup yourself? Thats downright ignorant. And whats more, you post this in the tip trick section. Whats the trick you need help with, cant figure out this whole "rational thinking" bit? I just dont know where you get off shitting all over people trying to help you and steer you in the right direction. You think the people in this thread are making money off you by telling you to get better equipment? Theyve offered you tons of real reasons to upgrade, offering you real world evidence. All you can say is that your board is clearly great and as goo as others out there having no first hand experience. And if that wasnt bad enough, you sink to insulting people when the topic dosnt go your way. Thats about the lamest way to make an argument. Grow some balls. Choke down your pride when you screw up. Everybody makes mistakes, own up and move on. The way youre acting is simply childish. You sound like a kid whos parents gave too many "time outs" to when they should have hung a belt over the telephone as a "constant reminder" instead.

Man, people like you are retarded.

The name of this thread states,
"Can anyone tell me if this is a good board or not?"

You asked for opinions, you got them, suck it up princess, you're board isn't anywhere near the best, deal with it.

I laughed reading this whole thread but nothing was funnier than "ass bag" haha.

i think i saw parks bonifay riding a hydroslide a few weeks ago. Laughing

caddydaddy, sorry but hydroslide is the worst wakeboard company out there. yes they are good for beginners, but i rode one at a friends house because i wasn't planning on wakeboarding and i did a tantrum with it and WOW. i about stopped then because the landing was so rough on my feet. so lets see ou do a jump out into the flats off of a SAN (super air nautique, so you know) wake and see what you think.

Bubb Rubb is a character from an [possibly fake] news report on "whistle tips" which has become a bit of an internet phenomenon. Whistle tips are exhaust tips that make your car whistle obnoxiously. Bubb rubb is the personification of all things assenine and rediculous, or so it would seem.

Good work Wakechick182. I love that line, and I've been trying to find the best place to use it. You nailed it. I have no stars to give, but I would if I could.

Damn dude, I forgot all about bubb rubb and lil sis. That was funny ass.
