i'm wanting to learn a tantrum
it's my first season riding and a lot of guys i ride with are doing tantrums but i go as big or bigger on w2w. i can do 360's and get a lot of air but i'm not sure i'm ready for a tantrum because i'm not used to being upside down. i don't know any trampolines i can use so i dont know how to practice before i take it to the water. do i even need to be good at backflips before i start trying tantrums?

Well the same thing as a tantrum would be doing a backflip off of a dock or something.. i did that and trampoline to get use to the feeling. You really don't need all of the practice though, getting use to going upside down will come after your first few attempts. Just search around for tips on tantrums then just go give it a shot! Since you can do 3s and big air a tantrum shouldn't be to hard at all. Good luck!

I learned the tantrum w/o ever practicing on a trampoline. It's really a pretty easy trick. If you go w2w and do 3's you should be fine. Give it a shot and see what happens.

welp first time to ever try a tantrum i had never even landed a backflip on a tramp, yet i got all the way around on the board, tramp time deffinately helps, after i got a trampoline my air "sense" dramatically increased, however it is not necessary to land a tantrum. Trust me you will never advance if you dont take any risks, go big or go home.

i say shorten the rope a little, and go a little slower so the water softens. you probably wont land it, but that way you can get used to being upside down, and youll teach yourself to flip it faster. just mt two cents

just throw a regular backflip off of the wake and try to get as close as you can to landing it. it is a slightly difficult trick at first, but once you get the rotation down and you feel comfortable, it is easy. but throw the tantrum off the wake one time so you know what it is like to go upside down and see what you think. but, don't THINK about doing the trick, just do the trick.
