| I have been wakeboarding for 3 days. I was able to get up fine and ride. At first, what seemed natural to me was heelside cutting going out of the wake then doing a surface 180 and heelside cutting back the other way. When I realized I was supposed to be cutting toeside too, I worked on that, but only riding the way that felt most natural (left foot forward). I am now comfortable cutting both heelside and toeside back and forth across the wake but when I try to do a 180 and ride with my right foot forward, I either faceplant right away or lose my balance soon after the 180. It pisses me off because this felt so natural before and now I can't do it. Anyone have any tips? Do I just need to keep practicing? Also, my board has two small molded fins and a larger removable one in the middle. Will taking it out make riding swith easier? Also, any tips on how to ollie? I couldn't find it anywhere on the site. Thanks to anyone who helps. |

| learning how to ride switch is like starting over... instead of tryin a 180, just when u start turn ur right foot forward and ride like that and cut both ways and get used to it. to ollie, the easiest way is to cut out into the flats (left side if ur left foot forward) and while the slack is loose try to jump with your back foot and just remember to keep your left leg bent a little more than the back so the nose of the board doesnt go in when you land. all you need is practice and you'll get it |
