OK, i made a wakeboard tower for my bayliner capri, thats how much i like the sport, or how cheap i am, but how bad does it piss you off when you see people intertubing off of 30-45K dollar boats. Or even worse someone who cant get outside the wake on one of those. I want to shoot them all and steal thier boat. All you spoiled ass bitches i hate you!!!! _________________ GK |

They worked for it, let them use it. How can you say someone is spoiled for working hard to get the money for a boat? Half of the time the actual owner of the boat isn't riding, maybe they are teaching a new boarder.
These threads come up all the time.. they are so dumb. |

No, that's not what I'm saying. And just for the record, I can clear the wake just fine. But even If I couldn't, it doesn't matter because my Dad works/worked his ass off for that "nice ass Tige" boat so my family could have fun.
"The best riders are the ones who have the most fun."
When we have the little cousins out and what not, or the friends who don't like to ride, we take them tubing because that's how they have fun.
gkoppboarder13, I don't know If it's jelousy or what, but how about you work up for one of those "30-45k dollar boats" and you can do whatever you please behind it rather than bitching about it on the internet. _________________ www.Tigeowners.com

gkoppboarder13, You said you built your own tower because you liked the sport so much, and that's awesome. But If your having fun, keep doing so, rather than worrying about others and what they choose to do. Maybe If you saw one of the expensive wakeboats at the Marina or something, go up to them and ask for a pull in return for some gas money or something. Spread the hype, don't kill it. _________________ www.Tigeowners.com

gkoppboarder13, I'm not accusing you of anything, but once again I got back to my last statement. There are alot of local wakeboard communities and riders who trade pulls daily. Why not try to find some riders with a wake-specific boat and go ride with them? _________________ www.Tigeowners.com

| You don't have to be a good rider to ride behind a nice boat. As far as the tubing goes as long as they don't come where I am and mess my water up I don't care what they are behind. I started behind a 17 foot outboard boat, now I have a cross over ski/wakeboard boat and learning behind a bad wake teaches you to really get good technique if you want to land anything. Now everything is almost effortless. |

im behind a 1979 tri sonic i/o with no tower, or weight, and a ski rope on top of all that, haha, i can still clear the wake easily though and 180's are nothin, when i see someone who has a nice boat that sucks it just makes me feel good about myself, especially when they have a tower and weight and i still am goin bigger than they are |

I'm 34 years old Bro... Daddy didn't buy me anything not even the lake house I'm payn for.
Contrary to what you might believe or think not everyone is getting stuff handed to them, most people I know work hard and play harder!
Yes, that's my 30K truck in my profile pic also....Daddy didn't buy that for me either. In fact Daddy didn't even pay for me to go to school I had to do that all on me also. _________________ PEACE

I worked hard and bought a $40k wakeboat at the age of 27 (o, and I had never wakeboarded before!). Daddy really never wanted to step up and buy one, but he sure likes riding on mine!!
Anyway, to each...his own. I just want to see more wake specific boats where I ride. Seems like there's no love for wakeboarding on that river. _________________ http://www.airtimewatersports.com

You are 18 and you have a nice boat alredy right? I mean it floats and it will pull you on a board? QUIT worrying about it dude, most of the guys who own these boats are either;
A: rich from family money, it happens
B: work their assesoff and love boating so they psend alot of scratch on a boat
C: old and can afford to buy nice toys.
You are young, if you want a real wake boat you could have one easily, build your credit, work your ass off, save your $$$, and DONT BLOW IT ALL ON A BOAT, invest it.
A 30-50K boat is not something alot of people can afford, but I know die hard boarders who got 3-4 guys together to buy one boat. If Wakeboarding is what you love you will find a way. I am even thinking about moving to be closer to better water year round
So the answer is it doesnt make me mad at all, tubing, kneeboarding, airchairs, or just doing donuts, as long as they know how to drive a boat and have resepct for other boaters I dont care what they do while they are out there or what they are doing it behind..... |

Ultimately it comes down to the fact that things are reversed with life:
Your broke when you are young and want to get mad skills at wakeboarding and live it up.
By the time you can afford to have a nice boat, lake house etc. your too old to really push hard and "go pro" _________________ Hold up....Wait a minute.... Let me put some pimpin in it! mmmmph |

| The best wakeboarders on my lake tube, too. They attach the the tube lines to the tower. They are out there with the speakers blasting have a blast. They can do flips and etc. I have a blast just watching them. |

| There is one wakesetter on my lake that id love to have. I can't get mad at them though because they are amazig boarders. There there is the other wakesetter and 3 peoepl who ride behind it. Not one of them can get ouside the wake which sorta bugs me.Then there is like 5 boats that have towers but arn't the super nice wakeboats, so im fine with those. But hey life isn't fair so what are you gonna do. I can do better then most people on my lake with my boat, and thats good enough for me! |

Nice reply J DOGG!!!
So you guys are pissed that someone with a nice boat sucks on the board? Maybe THEY'RE JUST LEARNING! I just bought a nice boat (used), and this is my first season boarding. So yes, if you look at me now, you'll say, "He doesn't need that boat!" But in the years to come? The ability should start to fit the boat. So my message is... Give some people some time!
And even if they "suck" forever, or just tube, so what! Its their money. And as for those rich people buying up all the boats... C'MON! That makes no sense at all!
J DOGG. I'm in NH too (currently at Bow Lake). Where do you ride? |

Exactly. When we bought our first inboard, I couldn't clear the wake, and look where I am now. I'd say the boat has helped me, especially with confidence, to progress. _________________ www.Tigeowners.com
