Im new to wakeboarding. I really enjoy the sport and all that comes w/it. It looks cool and the times that I got up I have a blast. But I am going to start buying my own stuff and I need to know exactly what to get. What size board should I get. Im 25 yrs old 6'2 270lbs w/athletic build. All the boards I have ridden on have been my friends boards. My friends are all smaller than me, like in the 190 lbs 5'11-6'2 range. I have a hard time getting up on their boards. So I want to know if there is a board for bigger guys or what i should be looking for in a board for me. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks alot.
the largest boards are about 142cm...your 190lb friends probably ride 138's or 142's. it depends on the board though...i'm 5'11" 180lbs and ride a 138, but i've ridden some 132's and 133's that ride just fine
try and find a place and demo some boards...most 142/3 boards are rated for 190lbs and up
there are certina borads like the liquid force fish that are supposed to be ridden shorter but im about as tall and as heavy as u and i ride a 140 doulbe up ... works great for me
