Okay, I've been wakeboarding for like two and a half years and I've never really tried to learn anything. We'd just go out and mess around. But this year, I decided I wanted to learn some stuff. I can do an ollie 180 fine, and I can also jump probably 5-6 feet high, but for some reason, I can't land a 180 off the wake. I get the rotation, but everytime I land I just immediately crash. Anyone else have the same trouble or have any suggestions?

The first time I did it the key for me was to land on my toes but lately I havnt been doing well on that trick lately.

It's really frustrating because I can go a lot bigger than my friends and I have grabs down, but this simple rotation just seems impossible.

If you're talking about a HS FS 180, then yes, you want to land on your toeside edge leaning away from the boat a bit. That will keep you from sliding out and make you a lot comfy with the trick.

Are you comfortable riding switch? The switch toeside landing is definitely the toughest of the four IMO. You might want to consider learning a TS FS 180 to strengthen your switch landings.

And also, you might want to consider a switch HS FS 180. The landing will be easier. It's not as hard as it sounds.

jpminter, Yeah, I can ride switch pretty well as far as carving and what not, but I haven't attempted a jump yet. I'm going out today and I'll definitely try the toeside and also the switch 180. Thanks alot for the help man.
