alright here's the thing. for extra credit in my psycology class i have to come up with a movie character for each of the following traits/disorders.

1. depression
2. anxiety dosorders (one of the following: panic disorder, post traumatic stress disorder,or obsessive compulsive disorder)
3. dissociative identity disorder (more commonly known as multiple personality disorder)
4. Narcissitic personality disorder (person has an exagerated sense of self importance and needs constant admiration)
5. schizophrenic disorders

my thanks in advance and for those of yu who haven't taken psycology yet stay away from it. it sucks big time.

wow, thanks for the replys. unfortunatly i'm not really a movie guy even though i like them. i've seen about two of the movies listed (me myself and irene and cruel intentions). if you could add a little explanation on why the character's fit into the category you put them in i'd appreciate it.

dustin hoffman does not have an anxiety disorder in rainman, he is autistic. An example of someone with obsessive compulsive disorder is Jack Nicholson in "As Good as it Gets."

I don't think Sean Penn is depressed in "I am Sam" either. Well, I guess at the end he gets depressed. Nevermind.

Zach M-I know he is autistic, but his behavior is that of an obsessive compulsive. One is a disease, the other a phsycological behavior. His autism leads to the behavior.

1. Sean penn plays a mentally retarded dad who becomes a father to a baby who's mother leaves. Long story short, courts feel he is unfit after about 7-10 years of fathering because the girl's mental capacity is now greater than his, long court battle insues, he becomes very depressed during the time and eventually wins the case albeit limited.

2. Dustin Hoffman plays an autistic who's brother (Tom Cruis) "abducts" him in an attempt to get more of an inheritance he feels he deserves. In the process Tom Cruise, who journey's across the country with him and while doing so Hoffman is consantly portraying signs of Obbsessive Compulsive Disorder due to the autism, is showed the light by his new found mentally challenged brother.

5. I'll just write what is on back of the box.
They were five teenage students with nothing in comon, faced with spending a Saturday detention together in their high school library. At seven a.m., they had nothing to say, bu by four p.m., they had bared their souls to each other and become good friends. To the outside world they were simply the Jock, the Brain, the Criminal, the Princess, and the Kook (Ally Sheedy).

Sorry if there is typos. I was typing fast.
