Who buys a a brand new board and then does something that they "should" know will damage and void the warrenty on said board?

Use the search there is plenty of information on this site that will help you in repairing your new board. I gues that board will be you r slider board like most we have two boards one for riding and one for sliding.

Sorry for bad luck

Sun-cure or super glue should get the job done.

Seriously man fixing a board isn't too difficult. Some materials I've used for various types of dings include super glue, epoxy & surfboard repair kits. For the fins you might be able to get a ding repair kit and fix it up. Get some sandpapers, shape it up and it will be good as new. Super glue works well for split edges and the epoxy can be used to sink inserts. Do a search on working with glass and shaping & you'll have a fun project. You'll learn a lot about water flow and what features you like.
