I have a question: If shampoo dries out your bindings because it takes out the oil, what about conditioner? It makes your hair soft, it doesn't take the oil out. So my question is, will conditioner dry out bindings too?

just to clarify on the reason soap screws with bindings... the way soap works is that is attracts to oils/grease and bonds with it, and then it washes away both into the water so your bindings become dried and less flexible

Well, just to let everyone know, slipping out of your binding's is a bad bad thing.Just over the 4th weekend I slipped out of one of my bindings and folded over and get hit in the ear with my wakeboard, knocking me out and almost ripping my ear off,5 stitches and a concusion later...i'm ok. But I don't use lube I have the LF elements and this is the first time I slipped out,I guess I just hit the water right. I don't remember but i'm just saying be careful and don't be so cheap and hurtful to the lake you ride.Buy some damn binding lube.
