|
|
I am trying to make my own tower, i just need to know the best way of mounting the tower to my boat, it is a 93 Glastron, not the best for boarding but it puts out a pretty good wake, the tower will go across the top of the windshield, and mount in front and behing it.
should i mount the tower on the side of the boat or on the top?
Any advice would be great

Search the older posts with the Search function at the top of the page with keyword "tower" also - this site has tons of helpful info for the asking.

I made a tower out of broomsticks and bubble gum. It is cool.

|
|
I built this for about $75.00.
$20 for steel pipe
$20 to get it bent
Spray Paint, 3/8" pins, and straps and cable $35.00
I use a cable and straps around the bow an hooked to the eye. I also use straps forward and backward on the outside. The tower splits in the middle and has a smaller pipe as a splint. I welded the entire unit and used a trailer ball for the rope connection. I used chain links welded on for the strap hooks. I also used both a wood and metal plate as a backer under the gunwale.
I have since added a hinged set to lay it down forward, without removing it.
Works like a dream for me.
