Hi Guys, Ive been wakeboarding for 3 months now, 15 times total. Im starting to get comfortable edging and doing one wake jumps. I still have trouble getting enough pop and air on my jumps cuz im still pretty new, however Im interested in getting a wakeboard and bindings, what do u guys suggest I try. I am a pretty strong athlete, having skied for 20+ yrs so I learn fast and ride aggressively.
My stats are: 5'6'', 143 pounds.

Thanks in advance!

Try wakeside.com, if your looking for a good quality board for beginner/inter. go for a hyperlite or Liquid force. dont buy a board just on PRICE! look for something with a 1.5" middle fin and possibly with molded or removeable side fins for when you become more advanced. gR.

thanks for the replies guys. I checked out the wakeside site and read the whole bit on finding a board. Interesting stuff, but as a newbie, I didnt quite understand all the terms and how they apply. All I know is that I should be riding a board with a medium 3 stage rocker since the wakes i ride are small to medium.

If I narrow the selection down to hyperlite, what boards are best for edging, performance, pop, and ease of use?

I was told to stay away from Parks and stick with a Premiere or 3DS, what do u guys think? Also with my 140ish weight shouldI ride a 140 or 136?

Thanks Guys
