I'm a beginner, and actually have never been out boarding yet. I had a surfboard, but my buddy broke it in half kneeboarding. So instead of him buying me a new surfboard, i'm just gonna get him to hook me up with a wakeboard. I haven't even been out yet and i'm already addicted, just looking at the pictures and stuff.
I need some help, i'm 6'1, about 170, and looking for a beginners board i can hold on to for a while that's not to expensive. I'm looking at hydroslide right now. I plan on going out this weekend if i can find a board. Any tips or anything special i should be looking for in a board would be greatly appreciated. |

hydroslide=bad quality but for a beginner its fine. go for a 138-142 cm board maybe a bit smaller _________________ If your supposed to expect the unexpected, then the unexpected would be expected, so there wouldnt be any unexpected to expect... |

Heh, you sound like me. I spend hours a day looking at boards.
personally, i like hyperlite and liquidforce best. Go to their websites and it should be easier to find the right board |

| I bought a CWB Realm around 190 brand new at Academy, but this was for my wife and brother and they have had nothing but good things from it. Good beginner board. CWB, Hyperlite, and Liquid Force are all really good boards to get though. |

Alright, I'm gonna head up to Sports Authority today, maybe Dick's Sporting goods and see what they got. Do most boards come with the bindings? From the information i have so far, i'm looking for something between 138-142 cm either Hyperlite, CWB, or liquidforce. NOT HYPERSLIDE.
I guess i'm also looking for a Spectra rope with no elasticity about 60 ft?
Alright guys, i'll let you know what i come up with tommorrow. |

| I'm in the same situation as you and I just found a 138 (I'm 6' 170 lb) Liquid Force Evo with Element bindings at Sports Chalet for $250. I'm taking it out for the first time this weekend with our new "to us" boat. I'll let you know how I like it. |

| I went and looked around yesterday and found a Lightning Bolt board that seems like it's gonna work out. It's new for $240 and the guy said it's a badass begineers board. It's got that 3 range rocker but i think i'll be able to work with it. Comes with good bindings and stuff so i'm probably gonna go with that. |
