| Just getting ready to start boarding this weekend, my question concerns turning once outside the wake. Is it like snowboarding, ie heal to toe kind of thing? What's the best tecnique for transitioning from one side of the wake to the other? |

first off avon rocks. i'll be there in 3 days on vacation but with turning yeah it is kinda a heel to toe thing i use my back foot to push the board so it goes where i wanna go and just make sure you dont put too much pressure on the front of the board so it doesnt dig in the water so you do a face plant. just try stuff out and see what works best for you too _________________ If your supposed to expect the unexpected, then the unexpected would be expected, so there wouldnt be any unexpected to expect... |

Thanks for the feedback, spent alot of time on my butt learning to snowboard so I guess investing some face plants in the water to learn to wakeboard isn't such a terrible thing. My parents always did say I needed some sense knocked into me! _________________ If you're not falling you're not trying hard enough! |

Is that Avon CT? I've got a friend that lives there. If you in High School you probably know him. Really cool kid but sucks at wakeboarding.

gammapark, you would be surprised at how bad water can hurt sometimes. I have gone down hard and put my hands down and when they hit the water it was like falling on concrete, jacked my wrist up. Have fun and ride at your level! _________________ F around, F around, soon you won't be around |
