Look in the direction you want to go, make sure your edge is in the water. If not, you will slide out. Just lean a little against the rope and look to where you want to go.

Don't stare at the wake. Usually people focus right on the wake praying they won't fall this time. Because you're anticipating falling you end up looking down (bad) and stiffening up (also bad). Just stay loose, keep your eyes up off the water, and edge.

i can picture what your doing wrong..... your putting equal weight on both feet, centering your body over the board, and you are letting the boat pull you forward from the waist up. Your probably leaning forward to much and not allowing your body to turn to the side in the correct stance. try to focus on leaning back a bit, and putting more weight on your rear foot. if your riding and it looks like your trying to railslide the whole time, let go with you arm thats away from the boat, and just hang on to the line with your font arm. This will automatically put you in the position and you can get the feel. gR.

Take the boat up to your wakeboarding speed (between 15-22mph or so). Look at the wake. Hopefully its a nice wave until further back where it's breaking. Let out the handle until its about 5 feet in front of the breaking wake. That's where you want the handle so attach the rope at the closest spot to that. Oh and its better to be a little short then too long and in the washed out part of the wake.
