|
|
Okay guys, the first thing I want to know is how much of a diference does the board make? I ride an obrien blunt, and it was great for learning. However, now that I'm tring to learn some new tricks I seem to be having trouble.
For instince: I've been tring to make w2w for quite some time now, but just can't seem to do it. For awhile I had a pretty small wake, so I thought that might have been the problem. But now I've got a much bigger one and can't seem to do any better. After looking at this site I've decided that I might not be holding the robe in close enough to my hib, does that make a big diference?
I'm also having trouble doing swiches. At low speeds I can do em fine, but as soon as the boat gets going faster I can't get the fins out of the water. Is my board just not made for that?
If you guys could give me some tips, and info on my board, I'd apriciate it. _________________ A guy walks into a bar....ouch! |

Florida camps say keep arms stright all the way through. If you can ride a board you can wake to wake. its not how far you go outside the wake, its that you keep your board on edge through the kicker. shorten your rope and slow the boat down a bit and you will be able to throw it down. gR. Keep me posted on your progress! _________________ MY BOAT RUNS ON GAS, NOT THANKS. |

You can do W2W with any board and very little wake.
You just need to edge in properly.
Try this method to get on your edge properly.
Do a wake jump without bending you knees at all. (AT ALL!)
To initiate the jump, just lean your shoulders back, leaning against the rope.
(to make this progressive just continue to lean harder and harder)
Using this method you should be able to clear the wake. Add a leg bend and extension, and you will fly out to the wash line on the other side. |

Most important thing as howabouttheiris stated. Do not bend your knees! You should be able to get air on any wakeboard. _________________ WARNING! NooB status means that anything I might say is absolute total crap. |
