Ok, I just started wakeboarding last weekend (the lake we go too has been flooded the past 2 years and too shallow the year before that) so I finally talked my dad into getting a wakeboard last weekend because riding on the boat and .........tubing......... just blows. So Ive only wakeboarded with my cousin in minnesota a few times, but we stopped in at the local marina and picked up a board just under $200, its a Hydroslide "freedom" board and I liked riding it, but has anyone ever used one of these? any advice?
I come from the snowboarding/skateboarding backround and was able to pick up on wakeboarding pretty quick, but my main question is, would it be worth it getting a better board like an Obrien at the end of summer/next spring. The only boats I can get out on everyweekend is my dads 100hp pontoon and my uncles waverunner, so is it worth getting a better board? none of the people i know wakeboard either so its not like i can go behind a friends boat.
anyways, thanks for any advice- Rich _________________ - Rich |
