i started out by buying the hyperlite motive with hyperlite split binding package. it's a good value in my opinion.

Look on here for used stuff. I have an 03 player with 04 Transits and I love it.

I would have to recommend a CWB Sol package. Here is one on Ebay currently $55.00 NR w/ 8 hrs left. You may want a 141cm though.

im looking for something around a hundred bucks. is ebay the best way to go? my only concern is the fact that the board may be warped and beaten to a pulp. should i just read the descriptions and see if they have a usage count on it? also what is the ideal length for me i am 6 foot and 188 pounds. something in the 140-145 range?

thanks
ryan

lakeannasupra, www.evogear.com or ebay are the places to go. You can find a decent board for a good price, but you will still need to buy bindings. Don't worry so much about what board you get, focus on the bindings. Buy a good pair of bindings and a cheaper board. When your skills progress you can get a better board and put your already good bindings on that board.

A 137 minimum, but I would recommend 139-141. I board that is too big is a problem when you get better. At $100 you options are very limited unless you can luck into a NR auction. These binding may suck, but is the closest package I can find in your range.

well, I just got my first board too, I figured it would be something for me to learn on. We just stopped in at the local marina and I got a $175 Hydroslide. Now I know this isnt the best board, but hey, im learning and can get a better one next summer. But I like it, its not that much different than riding my cousins board, or atleast I cant tell the differance.

That and I have to be towed behind a waverunner or a pontoon (they both suck and have NO wake) so i figured an expensive board would be pointless.

Hey thePLAGUE702,

Your Hydroslide, although arguably not the best, is just an older model board...there's plenty of fun and a few tricks built right into that thing...you just need to learn how to get 'em out

My daughter's jumping 4' with her Hold 'Em Hydroslide bindings...they'are mounted on a Hyperlite Diva? She likes them...

Work your surface tricks...learn to ride switch flawlessly...although you'll not get big air, you'll be able to do some switch 180's and maybe a quick grab or two...with small wakes your technique has to be spot on so there's a challenge for you, can you do it? Yep.

Wes

hey thanks for the info wes, im looking to have some fun on this board and get my riding down really, and im planning on moving back west within a couple (probly 3) years or moving up to minnesota so I just really wanna learn to ride good and get my surface stuff down, and I hope I can get some airs and grabs off the smaller wake, once in awhile ill be able to get on a boat that makes a good wake but thats probly only going to be 3-4 times this summer. Thanks- Rich
