what size/type of board would you reccomend for my 2 kids, ht. and wt. above. never boarded before

As small as possible. Look for something in the 120cm range maybe as big as 130cm but I wouldn't go any bigger than that. This would be an excellent choice, very easy to ride compared to some other stuff thats out there click the link:

I would get a 128 to 131 board - and buy small fins-
This way it will take them a minute to outgrow the board.
I would go with Obrien because theyre lighter compared to Hyperlite
but if you decide hyperlite they have a 131 juvi which is nice.
Please dont buy hydroslide - your kids will not like riding
Thyre cheap - but theyre horrible products especially thyre bindings.
One of the boys cut his toe when he felt out plus they have no padding.
Something thats very important when it comes to kids is comfort and if you bindings arent then it may discourage them. Tis the equivalent of running with high heels and jog with them.
