last year i could land my 180s fine iw as doing them by just grabbing the nos eof the board and letting the rope turn me around, but wjen i do them now i keep getting pulled to face away form the boat and backslapping the water, any sudgestions on why im getting thrown off axis?

Mabey im not keeping the rope in my hip?

I think you are NOT waiting for the pop before you let go.

Leave the wake first then let go..


Please don't do a 180 with out a grab, it's just not cool.

I think the grab makes them easier too. When landing 180s I always tell people to work up to it. Start off small and keep going bigger. Get your ollie 180s down then go for an inside-out ollie 180 then a small w2w then a big w2w. J_DOGG's observation is probably the problem. If you get torqued off the wake it will want to pull you around father where if you wait until you are in the air the line won't be as tight and it won't pull you as far.

Ye my ollie 180s and inside outs are money, but my w2w are messed, this weekend i will try to do them super late and see what happens
