| Any advice. I find when I jump toeside my nose seems to be pulled down by the boat. Any advice on how to improve my jumping toeside? |

When jumping toeside think of the rope as a short fence that you are trying to dive over. Keep the handle in close to your hips, edge in progressively, and dive over the rope. Doing this will leave you balanced in the air.
It feels really awkward at first, but if you don't more or less "dive" over the rope you will end up being pulled down off balance towards the boat. _________________ "I'm not a professional wakeboarder, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night". |

Yeah - Toeside feels so awkward when you are doing it....The best advise that I can give you is to keep you belly button pointed at the sky at all times....This will help you to keep your balance and give you good form. There are some riders that are hunched over when they come in on the toeside, but that is bad form, so you should try to get your form down from the start.
Best thing to do is get your edging right before jumping the wake....Start on the edge of the wake and edge out toesdie keeping your belly button pointed up to the sky and the rope in close to your hips...That way you will get your form straightened out...After you have that down and feel comfortable do a couple of one wake jumps from the inside of the wake out, then take it to the next level and to wake to wake....it is all in the progression tree, don't rush into it. _________________ If you do not like your job, you don't strike....You just go in there everyday and do it really half a$$ed.....Now that's the American way - Homer Simpson. |

| I actually went w2w toeside for the first time yesterday. I have been doing single wake toeside jumps for a while, but yesterday I took it just a little bit harder, and cleared the wake. It seemed like I put a whole lot less effort into going toeside, than I do heelside. On my heelside jumps I pretty much go balls to the walls and explode, and clear the wake easily. I think since I have been doing the small toeside jumps for so long, my form is better, as opposed to heelside, where I just try to go as big as possible. I just have to land switch toeside now. |

You imagine that the rope to the left of you continues on like a fence.
Usually when someone is learning toeside they feel very uncomfortable with their edging. They tend to flatten out and bend their knees in order to feel as though they are balanced when approaching the wake. Then when they hit the wake the rope is pulling them towards the boat and off balance.
The analogy of diving over the fence helps to get them to get on edge, leaning away from the boat. If you imagine the rope continuing on like a fence, the only way you can get to that fence is by edging away from the boat. When they are edge they will get the pop needed to get across the wake. By leaning away from the boat they will also be balanced in the air. _________________ "I'm not a professional wakeboarder, but I did stay in a Holiday Inn last night". |

Call me crazy, but if you pointed your stomach to the sky cutting toe side you would be cutting heelside. Don't confuse the poor guy. _________________ http://kmags.mybrute.com/

| edge out of the wake toeside (Like you will cut back in for a heelside jump). Edge out as far as you can/as hard as you can. Keep practicing. When you feel more comfortable, edge out of the wake heelside, and go balls to the wall in TS. You'll fall the first couple times (like you did when learning HS W2W jumps) but you'll get it down. |
