How would you spend $500?

Im a noob and lookin to buy the best board/bindings for the money but I also want a board that will progress along with my skills.

What should I buy?

AND

How would you spend $500 right now on anything?

I would say start off on the cheap with a beginner board, then spend the $500 on a board and bindings later, you dont need a $500 board now.

If I had $500 more right now I would spend it on tower speakers... hahaha

as for the 500 dollars... i'd finish the payments on my rock krawler rims or add that into buying an 8 inch skyjacker double flex lift kit for my wrangler...

as for 500 dollars to do with wakeboarding.... i'd give it to my dad and beg him to sell the sea-ray and buy my friends wakesetter Laughing

or spend some on a used 03 or 04 substance 138 or the next size up as my slider board Cool

my 05' 138's too pretty

dont go out and spend that much on a new board, i'd spend a majority gettin you some nice comfy LF bindings and then wutever board

Skyjacker is good stuff for sure, but there is better for less and 8" of lift on a Wrangler is just a bad idea...

410fortune, I agree 8" on a wrangler is too much, on the "better for less" comment, I'd have to say that depends on if its a YJ or a TJ. If its a YJ you can get much better for less, if its a TJ it'd be a toss up. I've never really been fond of the national brands. I'm a big Fan of Rubicon Express and Rusty's Offroad.

As far as the board and bindings...I second Mike.H's post. If you're gonna post up on here, like most of us do religiously then support the sibling site of boardstop.

Although I would understand downsideup's allegience to buywake if they sold his video. My vote is still for boardstop though.

HyperRash, im sure you see them all the time up in Nevada, Especially around Easter, i've always wanted to go up around there and watch some guys hit up some crazy obstacles, isnt Moab in Nevada? oh rock krawler is the name of the rim. i've seen a few ROCK CRAWLERS at the offroad stores i've been to but not many

and about the 500 dollars, i really need some boardracks for my tower now that i think of it, kinda noticed it after i rode today, boat got really cramped

I'd put the $500 towards the Canon 20D I'm looking at... For you I would say go that Team/Sphynx combo, that is one awesome deal! Shocked

dmb, i never even thought about a camera of some type. I would love to put some of that money towards a new Video Camera, something that could catch the color of the footage in relentless, very clear picture. mine right now isnt that great so my videos arent too beautiful... Neutral

As for a still picture camera, my sister has a nice one for that and i prefer making videos
