Hey P, I'm surprissed you haven't gotten an endorsment deal from all of the pics on here of you. I bet there is someone somewhere that is wanting you to endorse their products. That could always lead to some extra $$$....

Oh yeah, that too. Or I should say lack of. They just aren't comfortable. Boardshorts are so much more practical.

anyone who puts big rims and low profile tires on a 4x4 needs to have it taken away. hooka that is fake and stupid looking. toyotas suck bunghole. no power having, engine blowing up in, non compatible engine from year to year having, piece o poop. save your money and get a v-8 or bigger. i own a toyota and am aware the tundra has a v-8. to me its like a 400 lb bodybuilder with skinny ass legs. it might look cool and burly but something is going to break. i want to see a tug of war with a chevy v-8 and a tundra and we'll see who wins.

criminally_minded, yeah, the tacoma is the american version of the hilux, only without the tie-down hooks on the bed rails.

Mobius: Hilux's are great!

Otiswunguy: We have a Landcruiser which is about 20 years old, still going strong. It is used as a work vehicle for our heavy duty transport company, and has pulled things a lot heavier than a boat, for very long distances. Also, we tow offroad caravans when we go camping, and we cross some huge ditches etc while doing so, nothing in the running gear/suspension has ever broken. The only notable problem was about 6 years ago it used to fail to start when very cold, but that was traced to a carb problem and fixed. This 4WD is used daily in heavy duty commercial work, and privatly in offroad and towing situations, never had any problems. It has been past the door in mud while pulling an excavator out of a swamp, and I'm positive its's a lot more nimble on its feet than some of the things I have seen posted here so far.

Also, since they don't look anything like Jeeps, I fail to see the comparison. I doubt they would be so popular with 4wd enthusiasts and tradesmen alike if they were as shoddy as you say they are (In Australia I'm talking). Do you guys get JDM or USDM spec engines? Because I have heard the USDM engines aren't as good due to the restrictions placed in imports.

Cheers - CM.
