Well guys,

I'd seen a few topics posting feedback about recent covers of WakeBoarding Magazine. Here's a chance to have some input!

The first cover is Bret Van den Heuvel.
The second one is Brian Francis.
The third one is Nick Ennen.

Note: this is not for the next issue (the August issue), which will be arriving in the next few weeks.... this is for the September issue, that is still a ways out.

Normally I'd say B (classic shot), but I've never seen anything like the C cover so I voted for that one..

Disclaimer: All the photos are mine... so I'm super stoked. I've been contributing to WakeBoarding Magazine for 5 years, and this will be my first cover with them... so it's a big moment for me.

I'm pushing for cover C personally!

Is it just me or is C a poser picture? I'm thinking that it is for a couple of reasons: 1) There is a TON of slack in the line. 2) The structure he is on looks like the type that is on small canals and rivers, which are not wide enough for a boat to pull him straight down it. 3) How did he get up there in the first place? Did he just climb up, put his board on, stand up on the edge and scoot forward until he started to slide? (see 1 for slack in rope)
Anyway...I voted for A because he's going large.

kmagnuss, C is not a poser picture...

1. There is slack in the line 'cuz he was sliding down faster than the PWC was accelerating (the concrete was waxed down).
2. The structure was a reinforcement for a dam, on Lake Bartlett (which is what the feature article is about)
3. Yes, he just climbed up. You could climb up either the incline, or the rocks on the side and hop on top. With your board in line with the concrete slide, you could put it on, then hop up when you get pulled by the seadoo and slide it down.

It's not a poser picture. I don't do that.

i don't care for the 3 riders, i like C the best,

you should have just blocked out the faces so people woudn't know who it was, to make it fair...

i dig the layout on C because it is bigger and
easier to read, and the picture is cool too..
as repeated its "new". the pictures on A and B
are very awesome looking no doubt. i like the backround
in B for sure. and in the words of
kmagnuss, they are both going "large" Cool

i think C got my vote

C because the shot is so steezy, and the Ennen kids are wonderful human beings.

Edit: Notice how it's a college wakeboard issue and, correct me if I'm wrong, but both Bret V and Ennen attend Western Washington... Am I the only one who wishes I'd gone there?

Cover C hands down. nosepresses are sick, nose presses down a rail are really sick, nose presses down a waxed ledge with rocks on either side is Shocked

all of the shots are definitely cover-worthy tho.

kmagnuss, wtf? next time you dont have a clue what youre about why dont you just keep your mouth shut rather than claiming that a shot might be a "poser pic."

I am voting C for several of the reasons stated above, but also in hopes of progressing the sport.

I am hoping that a few surfers/skaters or who ever accidentally pick up the mag to thumb through, mistaking it as another snow/skate mag. This way a sport they initially viewed as possibly "not a core boardsport" is something far "cooler" than they imagined. I have heard a lot of arguments about our sport not being "legit" too new or what-have-you and I think this picture is a step in the right direction of helping the sport grow with the masses.

By the way Mike, killer shots.

Mike Isler, congrats on the cover ! well deserved

I personally like them all, however C will be my choice...

it looks like C took far more effort to set that shot up with flashes etc... the night sky is unbeatable & when combined with the shades of the rocks... simply money....

Oh yeah & Nick is doing pretty good in the shot as well...
