I am trying to decide on a good board. I grew up on a boat, and feel like I will pick up wakeboarding pretty easily. I am trying to decide on a good board for a beginner, that will be good for a couple years. I think I like the LF evo, but can't decide on 138 or 142 with element bindings. I am 6'1" 210#, but should prob be about 190. I am going to trim down over summer. What size should I get? Do you guys have any other recomendation on boards or bindings?
Also what is good beginner board for my wife 120# 5'8, pretty athletic? |

141 would be a good size . check out obrien rail or science. rail is a good beginner board but your skills wont outgrow the science as fast. obrien is also alittle more affordable u can get a rail on ebay w bindings for 200 _________________ wounds heal, pain fades, glory lasts forever

I would second the LF Omega/Alpha package if you are buying new. This is the best combo for the money IMO. This board is Inter/Adv, but any NooB can ride it. It is loose in neutral and you will slip out a few times, but you certainly will not out grow it anytime soon. At your weight, your only options are 139-143cm. the 139 is packaged with large bindings (9-11) while the 143 is packaged with XL (11-13). I am 5'11 and 190lbs and ride the 139cm. Currently at 210lbs the 143cm would be better. Try to demo both sizes first.
I can’t comment on the wife’s, I have no experience in this area.
Always check out Ebay, it is now the clearance time of the year. _________________ WARNING! NooB status means that anything I might say is absolute total crap. |
