Buter slides

How do I do the slide then come of it without cathing an edge?

the first time i did it accidentally... a butterslide is easier the slower you go because your fins are more loose in the water. getting into one is just a matter of finding the correct balance over your board to feel your fins release. expiriment, but be careful cause this ones painful in the learning stages

The trick is to be aggressive. Keep the boat slower than normal to begin with. When you hit the top of the wake really shred your back foot out and push it hard over the wake. Keep your toes pointed up to keep from grabbing an edge. If the boat is going slow enough it doesn't hurt at all if you bail.
