how do you trip the wake exactly, i was trying it to get used to it so i could try a tantrum the other day but i kept messing up. when i attempted to trip the wake i became kinda out of control and ended up absorbing the wake and not getting much pop. any tips?

I found it hard to "Trip" the wake without actualy continuing the rotation for the tantrum. It's not really something you can do wake2wake. Just come in hard and try to slap the wake with your board, open your shoulders up to the shoreline and go back with it.

ya the whole trip effect you really only get when you do a tantrum, otherwise its hard to feel it.(i disagree with that practice move they taught in waketrix regarding this) If your comfortable going upside down like on a tramp, and you can get good consistent cuts to the wake, then just go for the tantrum, more than likely you will make it most of the way around and the first time you hit the wake for one and let go with your back hand you will see exactly what they mean by "trip"

Don't worry about tripping yourself, get comfortable with backflips on the tramp and concentrate more on getting in the air and doing a backflip. It will take a few tries to where you are getting good rotation, but you will get there. Make sure you are comfortable on the tramp first.

I disagree with 138DNAparks, you should learn the trip technique, not just getting big air and throwing a backflip.

working on: I don't know, so happy I just landed backroll!
