When you christened your boat what did you name her?
My boat is "Rum Runner"!

pontoon= The Big Damn Boat or BDB for short
ski boat= not named

my uncle named the pontoon and we never named the other---any suggestions?

Josh it is bad luck to have boat that is not named. It is also bad luck to rename a boat unless it changes ownership.
The best way to christen a boat is this...
Take two bottles of champagne. Break one over the bow and name the boat and wish all that sail upon her have good fortune. Then you drink the second bottle.
Or.... If you only have one bottle of champagne (or you dont want to smash a bottle over you bow like most of us) you pour a little over the bow and name the boat and wish all that sail upon her good fortune. You then drink the rest of the champagne.
As far as names go you have to think of something that would mean something special to you.

My boat isnt big enough to name. You name yatchs or boats over 25ft. When I raced sailboats we never had formal names for them either.

I was toying with the name "boarder patrol," but I'd never put the letters on the boat, I don't think it is bad or anything it's just for some reason I don't like putting things like that on my stuff. No bumper stickers, window stickers, etc...

PENGUIN...for reasons that should be obvious....I don't know about breaking a champeign bottle over the bot though...i think that would harm the gel-coat....

Boarder Patrol just like CWB's licence plate frames. If i put that on our but i would be consider racist. But thought about getting that frame for my ride. I have "mount it, ride it" "CWB" on th back alread.
