How much does it cost to get one filled or exchanged?
How many beers can you get out of each keg?
Large drum + ice + keg inside enough to keep the beer cold?
I know these are probably easy questions for some of you guys/gals. However, this is my first time buying, refilling, exchanging, and drinking from a keg so all help is appreciated. Thanks _________________ "You ain't drunker'n me"

If u get a keg and keep it, forfeit the deposit, you save money in the long run with exchanges.
It will cost the same price to refill the keg, but no deposit.
I don't know how many beers you can get out of a keg, but one keg is enough for about 10-15 people (in louisiana) maybe more in other places.
One 55gallon trash can and about three or four bags of ice (or until the ice is even with the top)
also invest into a good tap, the crappy plastic ones do not last. Have plenty of cups, more ice on hand if it is hot or people are drinking slow. Too speed up drinking do keg stands. For a party charge everyone five dollars and you will generally make your money back and then some. Most ppl don't mind putting up to drink out of a keg, therefore no half empty kegs left over. _________________ Cold Beer, Women, Loud Music, and Glassy Water, I wouldn't have it anyother way. |

That should help with the volumes. When you go to buy it, definitely check the price list because a lot of times there is a local beer or something that is a much better beer for cheaper. Here, a Ziegenbock keg costs about 65 compared to 80 for most domestics but a six-pack of it costs more in the stores. Needless to say, many of our parties are fueled by Ziegenbock. |

Question, we have now started filling out forms that require id, address, and other info, ( I know what it is for, but have other places started doing that?) _________________ Cold Beer, Women, Loud Music, and Glassy Water, I wouldn't have it anyother way. |

79nawteak, it's also worthwhile to have a second keg there. It's pretty easy to kill a keg if you're having a decent-sized party.
When I lived in FL, it cost me I think about $60 for a keg of Bud Light. Out here in Cali it's a bit more. I think my last keg was Newcastle, and it cost $120ish.
For information about how much a keg holds, check out this (humorous) article:

a keg is 15.5 gallons of beer, how many depends on how much you waste with too much pressure in the line and size of cups _________________ Brian Gilbertson |

| Usually there is a deposit for the keg and included tap. So add some money on there until you get it back. |

79nawteak, refill a keg? Huh? Maybe they refill em out there, but here you pay a deposit for your taps/barrels. You get it back when you give them their stuff back. Kegs get refilled by Anheuser-Busch/Miller/etc...not your local distributor.... _________________ Back to back NBA champs. |

| a keg will give you 169 drinkable 14 oz beers. That number is adjusted so it counts what you get after a keg has been bleed sucessfully. You got to love the usless knowledge i picked up working behind a bar. |

This information is correct, as I worked for Miller for 2 years. Just buy another keg if you want more. Get your deposit money back, and after it's all said and done, you save a whole lot of money and it's more environment friendly in contrast to buying a bunch of 24 or 30 packs. |
