Just a recent shot of the VLX being built today as we stoped by the Malibu plant. I'll post more tommorrow when I get time. I have to run to class. Sorry about the quality, it was one hour photo and the boat was pretty dusty from the plant. Just a side note, gotta hand it to the management at Malibu, we have gone on the tour once and just "stopped by" twice now and everytime they are more than happy to take us through the plant.
(Two more weeks) aaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some more. Anyone notice anything different about the first pic as opposed to other VLX's. Kyle you should get this since you work at a shop.

forwaken, Sweet ride, really like the colour as well. We got a new boat last year and know how much waiting around for the thing bites. All the best with the new ride. Are you going withe the new illusion tower or the standard wishbone style tower.

When you say wishbone, do you mean the titan tower. No my wife didn't like the illusion (I do) plus I have heard some not so favorable things about it. We decided to go with the yellow skylon swoop. I know, I know (sound of whip cracking) hey she pays half of the bill so she has got to have some say. If it were really my choice, I would have put a yellow boss billet. She didn't like that one either, I think it was the price tag.

HMMMM....
My best guess is that your VLX is different from the others because it appears to come with a free happy little girl, not a bad deal at all!

The 04 pylon as well, good guess you guys. They decided to make mine an 04 physically but it still shows as an 03 on papers. My dealer got to choose between two of the 6-7 he had on order and I was one of the lucky ones I guess. Not a big deal just testing Malibu knowledge that's all.

Dang it! You beat me to it. So are they putting the telescoping pylon on the v-drives that are produced from now until the end of the year?
BTW, fabulous looking boat forwaken!

| Thanks to all on the compliments. I don't know about all the boats from now on, I don't think so. Steve Clothier, Bu's west coast rep only gave the option to two of my dealer's boats and when I toured the plant my boat had a special note for it on the build order. Even the management hadn't seen the pylon before, two of the guys who have given me the tour had to tear my boat apart to get a look at it, so no I don't think all of the boats will have yet, just maybe a few.

Interesting. Any thing else that's different on the boat?
Shane S. said they had the mockups done a month ago, but I didn't expect to see the pylons being put in production boats yet. Looks like you scored!

I missed the pylon.....the vlx I ride behind has had the pylon removed since it first hit the water. It looked normal to me until you notice now.
I had heard tey were going to do that on the 04's, but had'nt seen one yet....
I like the 04 windshield...it looks nice on the vlx....the only boat I have seen with that one-piece is the current 03 Response LXI....
The boat looks good, man! I bet you can't wait!

Skicrave- none that I know of but I am new to the game also so there might be. The bu' crew didn't tell me anything else.

I take that back on the windshield. It does have the post in it on the side. I had to look hard at the picture. I must have been too excited at the plant to notice. Oh well I am not too disapointed.
What do you mean skicrave, is there something you know that I don't know.
