I'm on vacation and I want some input as to which lake in N.Ca. is the best lake to board. I've heard the water in higher locations is freezing cold cuz of the snow melting. I want to camp for a couple of days also. Please no argueing Rolling Eyes

hahahahaha

ok on a serious note: Shasta and Don Pedro are my most favorite lakes. they both have several camping spots around the lake and have some great riding spots IMO. i highly recommend both. two other lakes that are good are Bullard's Bar and New Melones.

and the water isnt freezing...it was high 60s if i remember correctly when i was at shasta over memorial weekend.

HAHA, youve got a lot of choices i would recommend lake shasta, kinda bigger more places to go, or lake oroville, i like oroville better less driving around looking for a finger and its just more covered also a lot of places to camp. Theres also bullards bar but i heard thats a hefty drive i really want to hit that place up this summer though.
